What is Silsila?
One system for everyone in your maktab
The admin sets up the maktab, teachers teach and record, students learn, and parents follow along. Everyone signs in to the same Silsila and sees only what is theirs.
Maktab admin
Runs the maktab: students, classes, teachers, fees and reports.
Teachers
Mark the register, teach lessons, set homework and record progress.
Students
Learn at home with lessons, quizzes and recitation practice, and earn badges.
Parents
Follow attendance and progress, message the teacher, and pay online.
How it works
Step 1: Sign your maktab up
Join the pilot and we set your maktab up with its own web address.
Step 2: Add classes and students
Add them yourself, or send us your register and we help you bring it across.
Step 3: Teachers teach and mark
Registers, lessons, homework and progress, on a phone or a computer.
Step 4: Parents follow and pay
Parents see how their child is doing and pay the monthly fee by card.

A curriculum is built in
Five levels, eight subjects and three terms are ready on the first day. Teachers add their own lessons on top, kept to their own class.
Each surah, hadith, Name of Allah and tajweed rule is marked as not started, in progress or secure. Secure means the child knows it reliably, and the parent sees the same marks.

Questions maktabs ask
Can another maktab see our students or our material?
No. Every maktab's data is kept separate from every other maktab. Material a teacher uploads is locked tighter still — only their own class can open it.
Do we have to use your curriculum?
The five-level curriculum is there from day one so you can start on Monday. Teachers add their own lessons and quizzes on top, and those stay inside their class.
Is children's data safe?
A parent's consent is recorded before a child's data is processed, material uploaded by teachers goes through a review queue, and every administrative action is written to an audit log.
What does the pilot involve?
We set up your maktab's address, load the curriculum and walk your teachers through their first register. In return we ask for honest feedback while the platform is still being shaped.
Bring your maktab across. It costs nothing to find out.
Tell us how many classes you run and we will set up your maktab, load the curriculum, and walk your teachers through their first register.
